Faker sta ancora rompendo i record con T1

Lee “Faker” Sang Hyeok is widely considered the best LoL player of all time and continues to cement that top spot in the game. Overall, he and his team, T1, have set and broken more records early this 2022 season.

Largely because of Faker, T1 is already the most decorated team in League of Legends history. In fact, it’s the only team that won three World Championships, two of which were back-to-back wins.

With that, the team got two different Mid-Season Invitational wins and many Korean championships.

Overall, T1 had a very strong performance at the Worlds in 2021, even though DWG KIA won the 2020 World Champions. Then, Edward Gaming, a Chinese team, took the Summoner’s Cup last year after a win against DAMWON KIA.

Still, 2022 looks to be one of the best years for the organization, with Faker at the helm. Despite the earliness of the season, this team has already broken records within two months of the newest season. Here are some things to note:

14-0 Win Streak for T1

Faker and T1 are undefeated for the 2022 LCK Spring Split. After the match with KT Rolster, the superstar and his team matched the record for the winning streak, which he set back in 2015 (under the name of SKT).

Faker, along with Ryu “Keria” Min-Seok, Lee “Gumayusi” Min-Hyeong, Moon “Oner” Hyeon-Joon, and Choi “Zeus” Woo-Je, took the 14th win of the season for the Group Stage tie.

Though KT Rolster tried to choke out T1 in the jungle, T1 took control of every match and ended with a 2-0 streak.

70th Champion Play for the LCK

You may not realize it, but Faker set two records in the last few months. He locked in with Trynadamere in the match against DRK, making him the 70th champion to be used in the LCK and the 74th in his entire career.

Corki was the main problem from the beginning of the season. However, the G.O.A.T. proves that Barbarian King is a great counter against the Daring Bombardier.

Counting on the lack of crowd control for Corki, Faker pushed back and clocked eight kills within the match. This set up his game-winning assault for his team.

Though Faker is known for his mastery of LeBlanc, Orianna, and Azir, he has made some oddball selections. Trynadamere is the fourth one Faker played professionally once and won with once. The other three were Vex, Poppy, and Olaf. Faker’s also played other champions like Lux, Quinn, Kayle, and Darius, once, but he lost with those and never picked them again.

2,500 Kills

On March 3, Faker beat another record in the match with Gen.G. He got his 2,500th kill with the LeBlanc pick. He’s the only pro player in LoL to get this record, though Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu from DRX has over 2,000.

Conclusion

If you’re ready for some action in League of Legends, you can’t go wrong with Faker. In fact, Faker is still breaking records with T1, and that doesn’t appear to be stopping anytime soon. T1 might even take the Summoner’s Cup this year if they continue their amazing performance!
